FUNDRAISING TIPS: 2006 PLAYGROUND PROJECT
Please note that we have temporarily suspended all activity regarding the 2006 trip. We are providing the following FOR INFORMATION ONLY. We are not accepting new registrations at this time. If you'd like to be notified when we move forward with our project (possibly in the Spring/Early Summer of 2007), please subscribe to our email notification service.

Fundraising Flyers for the 2006 Project:
We have created 3 flyers to help you with your fundraising efforts. Please feel free to download and print as many copies as you feel necessary:

Flyer 1 & 2: This is a small, black & white flyer that you can copy inexpensively to hand-out, put in mailboxes or send in the mail. This is also available in color which will look great on a bulletin board, a classroom/staff room wall, your local library and anywhere public information is displayed. Don't forget to write your contact information where indicated, before making copies.

Flyer 3: A slightly bigger flyer, in color, that you can email to your friends. Don't forget to tell people how to contact you and include your mailing address in your email.

More Ideas!

* Start early. Have fun with your fundraising efforts!
* Set a fundraising goal and let your potential contributors know what that goal is
* Don't be afraid to ask! You're raising money for a wonderful humanitarian cause and
all donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law!
* Write a personal letter; create a newsletter or press release; hang up pledge sheets
at your office; make in-person solicitations. If you write a letter, include a donation
form and a self-addressed stamped return envelope.
* Ask for pledges from family members, friends, people at work, people nearby, people
far away, people you do business with.
* Suggest a minimum gift amount or put down options ($100, $50, $25, other).
* Write a personal note of thanks to each of your contributors. This will go a long
way, especially when you approach them for future trips.
* All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by federal and state law.
   The tax ID is 31-1716924
* Ask your contributors about matching funds from their employers.
* Find out whether your own employer offers matching funds.
* Double your fun: Challenge a friend to participate with you and fundraise
* Form a team at work, or with friends. Select a Group Leader, choose a theme,
wear matching shirts or hats, make a statement!
